Florida Sugar Cane League is a collective of farmers and agricultural experts dedicated to nourishing our communities, safeguarding our environment, and be good neighbors in South Florida. Established in 1964 by George Wedgworth and a group of local farmers, the League has since expanded its reach, with headquarters in both Washington, DC and South Florida. Their team includes scientists, government relations specialists, and community outreach professionals who advocate for the industry before Congress and within our local communities. In September 2015, the Florida Sugar Cane League inaugurated an office in Palm Beach County, marking a significant commitment to strengthening community ties. In its inaugural year, the League welcomed 2,000 residents on enlightening farm tours. Locally, their goal is to cultivate enduring relationships between agriculture and the diverse populace of Palm Beach County.
