About
The Living Skills in the Schools (LSIS) program has served children and families in Palm Beach County (PBC) since 1999 through various educational activities and strategies addressing the behavioral health challenges and needs of families and school-aged youth. Since its inception, LSIS has impacted over half a million students and families across two of the country's top ten largest school districts. In 2023-2024 alone, LSIS was presented in 100 schools, delivered over 3000 combined substance abuse prevention and mental health presentations, and impacted over 120,000 students. LSIS's distinctiveness lies in its innovation, including a cutting-edge product line that utilizes research-informed practices. LSIS initiates its programs in elementary school and progresses systematically through all grade levels. This results in a seamless and comprehensive developmental journey for students to establish a solid foundation for informed decision-making and promoting a drug-free future. Living Skills in the Schools at Work is a program initiative designed to bring the proven strategies of our school-based prevention programs into the workplace to empower parents with the tools, resources, and support they need to guide their children through the pressures of growing up in a world where substance use is a real risk.
